The center provides stem cell process, storage equipment and reagents for stem cell transplantation, opening to any units and laboratories.
The center use density gradient centrifugation to handle bone marrow, peripheral blood and cord blood. All the processes are carried out in the laboratories according to the cGMP and all the handlings use reagents admitted by the Chinese SDA and American FDA. The collection and storage use collection and storage bags produced by the BEXTER company.
The center has the biggest liquid nitrogen storage equipment in our country. It construct a complete system of programmed freezing, storage, transfer and recording.
During the 1 year operation, the cell activity is above 95% after processing and above 90% after defrosting through precise operations of the technicians.

| HLA typing and analysis |
The center can provide HLA serologic typing and molecular biological detection and DNA sequencing. It can do the detection work in high, middle and low resolution.
All the detection equipments come from first class biotechnology company abroad, such as GeneAmp PCR system 9700 from the PE Company of USA , fluorescence invert microscope, 377 DNA sequencer, electrophoresis scannert from the Bio-Rad company and the hybridization system from DYNAL company.
The reagents mainly come from the HLA test kit of big companies such as one-lamda company, DYNAL company, PELFREEZE company, BIOSYSNESIS company and PE company.
The HLA typing technicians has done research work in immunity and genetics for more than 20 years, so they can deal with some difficult results. The center can also do statistical analysis for disease association.
Stem cell qualitative and quantitative detection
The center has established several colony detection system as CFU-GM,CFU-GEMM, mainly using the reagents from the STEMCELL company. It can also provide other services as stem cell expansion.
The center can quantitatively detect CD34+ cell by flow cytometer and PROCOUNT test kit.
