| HLA Typing |
| HLA laboratory is the key laboratory of the center, with a total area of 510 square meters. It is equipped with many modern instruments as the UV photographic system from USA, fluorescence invert microscope from Germany and the GeneAmp PCR system 9700 from the PE Company of USA. The equipment and the key reagent recognized the international standard in the center are in the first class in our country. The lab can provide serologic typing and DNA typing , besides, it can also do high resolution typing and DNA sequencing. The lab has introduced the 377 DNA sequencer from the PE Company of USA, which can do the DNA sequencing directly. It is the first lab in our country to do so. The lab's work can be applied not only to cord blood stem cell transplantation and bone marrow transplantation, but also to other organ transplantation. The center may find new HLA gene subgroup by further research work of the HLA laboratory. It can acquire the HLA frequency of normal population and provide scientific evidence for the anthropology. The lab can also make contribute to research on immunity and genetic diseases. The accuracy of the lab is higher than other labs in our country and the technicians are skilled in operation. The lab can fully serve the clinical and scientific work now.
