| The cryo-laboratory has the biggest storage capacity and most advanced equipments. The center can store 20000 cord blood and the cord blood storage and the filling of liquid nitrogen are automatically controlled. There are 3 kinds of storage tank in the center. One is the 350 liters tank, which can store 740 blood samples. Another is the 650 liters tank, which can store 1700 blood samples. The last one is the 86 liters cord blood transfer tank for the storage of cord blood in the process of quarantine. The freezing of the cord blood are divided into 3 steps: the degree-controlled hypothermia, the transfer freezing and the freezing storage. The cell activity of the stored cord blood is ideal and the storage time is long, which are the advantages of the Shandong Umbilical Cord Blood Center. The cryo-laboratory can also freeze and store tissue and organs with the development of the research of the cryobiology, thus, it can serve the society better.
